A legendary American automotive brand joins Formula 1 in 2026 with the arrival of Cadillac, becoming the championship’s 11th team on the grid. While the name is new to Formula 1, the line-up brings a high level of experience. Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas form one of the most seasoned driver pairings, with more than 500 Grand Prix starts and 16 victories combined.
The team is led by Graeme Lowdon, who previously held a leadership role during the Marussia era in Formula 1. For its first seasons, Cadillac will rely on Ferrari engines, while parent company General Motors plans to introduce its own power unit starting in 2029.
