Felipe Drugovich completed two more days of testing with Aston Martin in Austria as part of the team’s Driver Development Program.
Felipe Drugovich returned to the track with Aston Martin. The Brazilian driver was behind the wheel of the AMF1 last week in Austria as part of the team’s Driver Development Program.
“I’m very happy with my two days on the track. I felt differences compared to the test I did in Silverstone a few months ago. I understand much more what the car is doing now, we can analyze the settings more, do many qualifying and race simulations,” he said.
The first test in England took place in April. It’s worth noting that the driver, supported by Porto Seguro, was almost lined up to race in Bahrain, but Aston Martin ultimately confirmed Lance Stroll for the opening round of the 2023 Formula 1 season. The Canadian driver missed the collective tests after fracturing his wrists and undergoing surgery, but he recovered in time to take the wheel of the AMR23.
Formula 1 will resume the 2023 season with the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring from June 30th to July 2nd.
