Score Ratings

Kimi Antonelli

9.2

Andrea Kimi Antonelli delivered another very strong weekend in Miami. After struggling in the Sprint with a difficult start and a track limits penalty, the Italian bounced back impressively in the main sessions. Antonelli secured pole position and claimed a dominant Grand Prix victory, showing excellent pace and maturity throughout the weekend. With three consecutive poles and wins, he continues to establish himself as a serious championship contender.

Lando Norris

9.0

Lando Norris enjoyed his strongest weekend of the season so far in Miami. The Briton dominated the Sprint with pole position and victory, making great use of McLaren’s upgrade package throughout the weekend. Although qualifying for the Grand Prix was less convincing, Norris recovered well in the main race to finish second and briefly put pressure on Antonelli. The performance showed clear progress from McLaren in the fight at the front.

Franco Colapinto

8.5

Franco Colapinto finally delivered his breakthrough weekend for Alpine in Miami. The Argentine showed strong pace and confidence throughout every session, consistently finishing inside the top 10 and outperforming team-mate Pierre Gasly in both Sprint Qualifying and Grand Prix Qualifying. With solid wheel-to-wheel battles and valuable points scored, Colapinto reminded the paddock why he attracted so much attention during his impressive Williams appearances last season.

Max Verstappen

7.5

Max Verstappen showed clear signs of Red Bull’s progress in Miami and looked far more comfortable behind the wheel of the RB22 throughout the weekend. The Dutchman delivered an excellent qualifying performance and fought back strongly in the race, but an uncharacteristic spin on the opening lap ruined his chances of fighting for victory. A penalty for crossing the white line at the pit exit summed up an underwhelming Sunday despite the positive pace shown by both Verstappen and Red Bull.

Sergio Perez

7.3

Sergio Pérez enjoyed a positive weekend in Miami and helped highlight Cadillac’s progress with their new upgrade package. The Mexican showed solid pace throughout the event, made an excellent start in the Grand Prix and was involved in some entertaining on-track battles, including a fight with Fernando Alonso. While Cadillac still remain far from the front-running teams, the squad showed clear signs of improvement and no longer looked isolated at the back of the grid.

Carlos Sainz

7.2

Carlos Sainz once again stood out for Williams in Miami, continuing to extract the maximum from the car. After a frustrating start to the weekend and concerns about the team’s competitiveness, the Spaniard made good use of the updates and delivered a smart, consistent race to finish in the points. The result reinforced a solid start to the season within the current limitations of the Williams package.

Oscar Piastri

7.1

Oscar Piastri delivered a solid weekend in Miami, although he lacked the pace of team-mate Lando Norris throughout the event. The Australian finished second in the Sprint and secured third place in the Grand Prix after capitalising on the late-race chaos, further confirming McLaren’s growing competitiveness. While not as impressive as Norris, Piastri remained consistent and contributed to another strong weekend for the team.

Alex Albon

7.0

Alexander Albon also benefited from Williams’ improved form in Miami and looked far more competitive throughout the weekend. The Thai driver appeared comfortable in the car from the early sessions and was close to team-mate Carlos Sainz on pace, despite a track limits penalty in Sprint Qualifying. In a quiet but consistent race, Albon scored his first points of the season and helped confirm Williams’ progress at the Miami circuit.

Charles Leclerc

6.5

Charles Leclerc experienced one of his strangest weekends of the season in Miami. The Monegasque started strongly, avoiding the chaos at the opening lap and leading Ferrari’s fight near the front, but gradually lost pace during the race and ultimately ruined his result with an unusual mistake on the final lap. In addition to the spin, Leclerc received a post-race penalty for repeatedly exceeding track limits, turning what had looked like a promising weekend into a frustrating outcome.

Fernando Alonso

6.4

Fernando Alonso delivered another survival drive amid Aston Martin’s difficult start to the 2026 season. During a challenging weekend for the team, the Spaniard once again extracted the maximum from the car and at least managed to reach the finish, while also producing some entertaining midfield battles, including a fight with Sergio Pérez. Even far from the expected level of competitiveness, Alonso remains one of Aston Martin’s few positives so far this season.

Oliver Bearman

6.2

Oliver Bearman faced a more difficult weekend in Miami as Haas appeared to lose ground in the midfield battle. Without major upgrades on the car, the Briton was forced into a race of survival and came close to salvaging a points finish by ending just outside the top 10. Despite the team’s struggles, Bearman once again got the better of team-mate Esteban Ocon and continues to deliver consistent performances early in the season.

Gabriel Bortoleto

6.0

Gabriel Bortoleto delivered one of his strongest performances of the season in Miami despite Audi’s ongoing reliability problems. The Brazilian steadily gained positions throughout the race and finished higher than initially expected after finally getting the opportunity to complete a clean Grand Prix. While Audi continue to struggle mechanically, Bortoleto once again showed consistency and good race management.

George Russell

5.8

George Russell endured another frustrating weekend and was once again overshadowed by team-mate Andrea Kimi Antonelli. After looking comfortably ahead during pre-season testing and the opening rounds, the Briton now appears unable to match the young Italian’s pace. Russell never seemed fully comfortable with the car in Miami and spent most of the weekend fighting McLaren and Ferrari rather than competing at the front.

Nico Hulkenberg

5.7

Nico Hülkenberg’s frustrating season continued in Miami as Audi’s reliability problems once again limited his weekend. Despite showing encouraging pace at times, including a strong qualifying performance, the German was once more prevented from fully capitalising on the result. The ongoing mechanical issues are increasingly becoming a major concern for both driver and team.

Esteban Ocon

5.6

steban Ocon faced another difficult weekend as Haas appeared to fall behind several midfield rivals in Miami. Although the Frenchman started strongly and initially stayed ahead of team-mate Oliver Bearman, he gradually lost ground during the race and once again finished behind the young Briton. Ocon now needs a stronger response as Haas continue struggling for competitiveness.

Pierre Gasly

5.5

Pierre Gasly was once again showing competitive pace for Alpine before his race ended in a heavy accident caused by contact with Liam Lawson. The Frenchman looked capable of fighting for points throughout the weekend despite a poor start, making the retirement even more frustrating. The scary rollover incident brought an unfortunate end to what had been a promising Miami Grand Prix.

Liam Lawson

5.4

Liam Lawson showed decent pace in Miami but ultimately ruined his race after causing the incident that also eliminated Pierre Gasly. The Racing Bulls driver admitted responsibility after the Grand Prix, ending another weekend where he once again operated close to the limit. While there were positive signs in terms of speed, the costly mistake overshadowed his performance.

Lance Stroll

5.3

Lance Stroll endured another difficult weekend as Aston Martin’s struggles continued in Miami. With the team lacking competitiveness throughout the event, simply reaching the chequered flag became one of the few positives available. Like Alonso, Stroll did what he could with a car that currently appears far from fighting for meaningful results.

Arvid Lindblad

5.1

Arvid Lindblad endured a complicated weekend in Miami as Racing Bulls struggled to keep up with their midfield rivals. The rookie faced several setbacks, including a pit-lane start in the Sprint, and never managed to build momentum across the sessions. Combined with questions surrounding the team’s upgrade package, it became a frustrating event for the young driver.

Lewis Hamilton

5.0

Lewis Hamilton struggled through another difficult weekend in Miami and once again lacked the pace shown earlier in the season. The Ferrari driver remained behind team-mate Charles Leclerc throughout the event and failed to make an impact in the fight among the leading teams. Contact damage during the race and a slow pit stop only added to a frustrating Grand Prix for the seven-time world champion.

Valtteri Bottas

4.5

Valtteri Bottas experienced a quiet and difficult weekend in Miami while continuing to adapt to Cadillac’s evolving package. A pit-lane speeding penalty further complicated his race, although the Finn blamed an issue with the limiter button. Even without major highlights, Bottas still remained relatively close to team-mate Sergio Pérez across the weekend

Isack Hadjar

3.0

Isack Hadjar endured a Miami weekend to forget, struggling for pace throughout the event and failing to recover from multiple setbacks. Technical problems forced a pit-lane start before a rookie mistake ended his race early and left the team with significant damage to repair. It was comfortably one of Hadjar’s weakest performances of the season so far.
